The bill was passed by the House of Representatives, with 365 votes against 65. This bill is a relief to Indians including IT professionals who are residing in the US. Skilled workers now have to wait a long time to get the green card. Eliminating the green card allowance would benefit many people currently working in the United States.

Leading IT companies across the country have welcomed the passage of the bill. If the Senate passes, it will be signed into law by US President Donald Trump.
