The National Level Consultation on the Implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM) was held in Viswa Yuva Kendra, New Delhi on 8th and 9th November 2019. The event attempted to identify the national priorities of the Compact which would help in the implementation of the objectives of the Global Compact for Migration in the country. It happened through discussions and deliberations with various actors including various ministries, government officials, trade unions, civil society organizations, media, academicians and other stakeholders. The consultation was financially supported by International Labour Organization (ILO) together with Solidarity Centre and technically supported by Migrant Forum in Asia (MFA). CIMS organised the event in association with Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA)-Kerala, the Kerala affiliate of the Central Trade Union SEWA.
